On Saturday October 16th, Woodside square presented The Navaratri Garba night celebration organized by the Star Dance Centre. The celebration, which was held outdoors in the parking lot , began at 6:00 pm with a prayer.

 

The event included 5 hours of non-stop dancing, live performances, delicious Indian food and concluded with a dance marathon after which the Garba King and Queen were also chosen. Furthermore, the Garba king and Queen received gifts provided by Start Dance and 95 developments presented by City Councilor, Cynthia Lai , who also joined the dances and was at the event in order to show her support.

 

Woodside has been extremely lucky to be able to be a part of multicultural and diverse celebration in our community, while providing an entertaining experience to gather the whole community and celebrate the amazing Navaratri.
