Multicultural Drive-IN movie Festival
During the past months, from July 12 to September 12th, Woodside Square was the host of The Multicultural Film Festival with Drive-in movie nights every Friday and Saturday. This festival which occurs annually is a celebration of movies, films, shorts, documentaries, arts, culture and food from around the world, highlighting local and international movies--from Hollywood studios to independent filmmakers.
Moreover, the Festival was a fundraiser for local nonprofits, charities and health care workers and made possible by our partnership with DriveIN TO. More than 500 tickets sold over the event timeline and many memorable nights made presenting movies such as “Spycies” , “ATM”, “Life of Zhang Chu” and etc, all of which were popular and greatly appreciated by the community, as shown by the number of attendees and tickets sold.
It was our pleasure to host an event with such great initiative, while being able to provide an opportunity for us to bring families closer together offering a fun and affordable activity to the community at Woodside. Indeed, we are hoping to have the same schedule and entertainment next year as well and hope to see you all there!
A special thank you to our amazing partners at The Canadian Film Festival, iQIYI , and DriveIN TO for their help and support in the past months and our hopes for us to all unite together again for another amazing annual project.
