January 24th - COVID-19 Update

The Ontario Government has announced a three-step plan to ease COVID-19 restrictions. Effective January 31st, 2022, 12:01 a.m., Step 1 of the reopening of Ontario will be in effect for 21 days.

  • increasing social gathering limits to 10 people indoors and 25 people outdoors

  • increasing capacity at organized public events to 25 people indoors

  • improving or maintaining capacity limits at 50% in most indoor general settings, including but not limited to:

       • restaurants, bars, other food or drink establishments without dance facilities

       • non-spectator areas of facilities used for sports and recreational fitness activities (such as               gyms and businesses offering personal fitness training)

       • cinemas

       • meeting and event spaces

       • museums, galleries, aquariums, zoos, science centres, landmarks, historic sites, botanical               gardens and similar attractions

       • casinos, bingo halls and other gaming establishments

  • allowing indoor spectator areas of facilities used for sports and recreational fitness activities (such as sporting events), concert venues, and theatres to operate at 50% of the usual seating capacity or 500 people, whichever is less

  • proof of vaccination requirements would continue to apply in existing settings

  • singing and dancing in restaurants bars, and other select locations will not be allowed except for workers or performers

  • requiring the number of patrons permitted to sit at a table in bars and restaurants and meeting and event spaces and other venues at which food or drink is sold or served, including that serve food and beverages to be limited to 10 people and patrons must remain seated

  • prohibiting food or drink services at indoor sporting events, concert venues, theatres and cinemas, bingo halls and other gaming establishments, horse racing tracks, car racing tracks and other similar media.

  • requiring patrons to remain seated at concert venues, theatres and cinemas

Our designated access points will be Entrance #1 (Pizza Pizza/RBC) and Entrance #7 (Tim Hortons/ TD Bank). Early access will be at Entrance #1, starting at 7:30 a.m., and Entrance #7 will open at 11:00 a.m. for regular business operations. Mall hours will remain from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday to Sunday.
