The Australian Outback

Untitled design (5).png

Mainland Australia - The Land Down Under is famous for its unique variety of plants and animals. From the cute and cuddly Koalas to the poisonous snakes, these animals have developed many adaptations to meet the needs of their rugged environment.

There are so many animals to discover from Australia but none is more native than the Koala. In fact, Koalas are recognized worldwide as a symbol of Australia. Another indigenous animal is the Kangaroo. Although not as docile and welcoming as the Koalas, Kangaroos have powerful hind legs and number over 40 million on the island. Australia is also home to the largest feral (wild) camels in the world. Imported from Afghanistan and British India during the 19th century for transportation and construction, camels were later released into the wild causing an invasive population.
